Forest of Dean Sculpture Trust presents Common Ground, a film by Sam Williams. The film was commissioned to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first conversations that took place with artists, the Forestry Commission and Arnolfini Gallery in the Speech House woods in March and April 1984. These conversations would go on to form proposals for the first sculptures that were installed in the forest in 1986.
“The film offers a window into the early works and their interactions with time and nature. It reflects my personal journey through the forest and its artworks, shedding light on the complex relationships we share with the landscape.” – Sam Williams.
This event is suitable for all ages.
