CINDERFORD GATHER
Collaboration with community members of our Create, Make, Eat workshops.
Final event featuring The Good, The Bad and The Ceilidh.
Produced by Wyldwood Arts for FOD Fringe 25.

Create, Make, Eat workshops
A series of 6 workshops held weekly at the Wye Dean Community Church in Cinderford, alongside one drop in decor session held at Candi with the Youth Group.
During these collaborative sessions community members were invited to come and spend time together in a warm space, making food, being creative and eating together.
In these sessions we worked with Natalia Coleville to help shape a final celebration event that would form part of the public programme of FOD Fringe 25. We made folk inspired community decor with artist Helena Doyle, in order to connect people of different backgrounds and nationalities. It is common place for folk inspirations such as tassels and pompoms to appear across all our cultures.
Wendy Daniels made food each week - with support from community participants. This food was shared by everyone at the end of each session. It was a joy to create our own rituals passing around the dressing at the beginning of a meal - each one of us giving it a shake to mix it!
Sustainability and local sources were key. Materials from the scrap store were used to create the decor. Food was sourced from local and organic producers.

Celebratory Event
The final event was held in The Wesley, showcasing the community produced decor and featuring a ceilidh, with intergenerational band, The Good, The Bad, & The Ceilidh. This was an open event to the public. All attendees also shared a meal sat around our Round Tables
